The classic breakfast is one of the best treatments for itchy bites. Oatmeal contains special compounds that help to relieve itching with anti-irritant qualities.
To treat one or two itchy bites with oatmeal, make a paste by mixing equal parts of oatmeal and water. Spoon some onto a washcloth and then hold this onto the irritated area for around 10 minutes. Wipe the area clean after.
For lots of itchy bites, you could try taking an oatmeal bath. Place 1 cup of oatmeal into a bathtub filled with warm water. Soak in the bath with the oatmeal for 20 minutes, making sure to rub oatmeal onto the irritated sections, for 20 minutes.

Make a paste using the baking soda, mixing 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a small amount of water. Use just enough water to create a thick paste. Apply some of this paste to the itchy bite and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash away after 10 minutes, or if there is any skin irritation.
Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties that help to calm wounds and irritation. If you have an aloe vera plant at home, you can slice off a small section and apply the gel to the irritated area.

If you have fresh basil in the garden, you can chop up some leaves and rub these onto the affected area of your skin.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has been used for ages as a natural remedy for many ailments. To help with itchy bites, you can simply dap a small amount of apple cider vinegar onto the itchy area. This will help reduce burning and stinging and will disinfect the area.
For relief over larger areas, you can soak a washcloth in cold water and vinegar and place this on your skin. You could also pour 2 cups of vinegar into a warm bath and soak in this for 20 minutes.
